    Nice images.

The first one, with the running dog, really captures that sense of motion. The dog is blurred just enough to show that it’s moving fast, but is in focus enough that there’s no confusion about what I’m seeing. The sharp focus on everything else makes this really effective. I know it’s hard to frame perfectly while you’re capturing a moving scene like this, but it would be even better without the truck showing on the left edge. Without that, the scene would look like the dog has all of the outdoors to run in and enjoy.

The second one is another good dog photo. Although this assignment was about motion, I also love the lighting here, going from the shaded right to the bright blue on the left, with the detail on the wooden shingles highlighted toward the back of the wall. The dog’s jump is frozen perfectly. This is such a nice image overall. The framing of the building and tree within the scene work especially well, though I predict Janice will say you shouldn’t have cut off the dog’s back feet.

I tried using a ball in some of my panning shots, too, and mine didn’t work at all. You really got the technique and timing down. The ball is frozen there in midair, but the motion is evident in the surroundings.

I think you did a great job with all three of these.
